KPP United and Akasur stage Rail Roko agitation from 7 am to 12 hours

In a Rail Roko agitation staged from 7 am to 12 hours, KPP United and student organization Akasur demanded the implementation of the peace accord signed with Jeevan Singh. The protesters, seeking recognition for the Kamtapur language and the creation of a separate state, blocked the railway line near Maynaguri Betgada station.

Long-distance trains, including Vande Bharat, were affected during the blockade, which continued for several hours. The agitation concluded following assurances from Alipurduar Railway Divisional Officer Vinod Bhadoria, who pledged to address the group's concerns.
